AN ACT
Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in ethics standards and financial
disclosure, further providing for restricted activities.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1103 of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
§ 1103. Restricted activities.

(g.1) Former public official or employee of Department of
Environmental Protection.--
(1) No former public official or public employee of the
department shall be employed by an owner or operator of a
company that conducts natural gas operations in an
unconventional formation in this Commonwealth, including the
development, production, transmission or processing of
natural gas, for at least one year after the public official
or public employee leaves the department.

(2) As used in this subsection, the following words and
phrases shall have the meanings given to them in this
paragraph unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
"Company." As defined in 58 Pa.C.S. § 2301 (relating to
definitions).
"Department." The Department of Environmental Protection
of the Commonwealth.
"Natural gas." As defined in 58 Pa.C.S. § 2301.
"Unconventional formation." As defined in 58 Pa.C.S. §
2301.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
