AN ACT
Amending the act of November 25, 2020 (P.L.1253, No.132),
entitled "An act providing for funding of high-speed
broadband service infrastructure deployment in unserved areas
of this Commonwealth and for powers and duties of the
Commonwealth Financing Authority; establishing the Unserved
High-speed Broadband Funding Program Account; making an
appropriation; and making a related repeal," further
providing for appropriation.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 9 of the act of November 25, 2020
(P.L.1253, No.132), known as the Unserved High-Speed Broadband
Funding Program Act, is amended to read:
Section 9. Appropriation.
(a) Initial appropriation.--The sum of $5,000,000 is hereby
appropriated to the authority from the General Fund for the
2020-2021 fiscal year for purposes of the program.
(b) Additional appropriation.--In addition to any other
money appropriated to the authority under this section, the sum
of $500,000,000 is appropriated to the authority from money

received by the Commonwealth under Title IX, Subtitle M, section
9901 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (Public Law 117-2,
135 Stat. 4) and deposited into the COVID-19 Response Restricted
Account for the purpose of supporting programs under this act.
This appropriation shall not lapse.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
