AN ACT
Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in ethics standards and financial
disclosure, further providing for restricted activities.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1103 of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
§ 1103. Restricted activities.

(k) Charter schools.--No member of the General Assembly
shall be permitted to own, or serve on the board of directors
of, a charter school or cyber charter school, as those terms are
defined in section 1703-A of the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30,
No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949.
Section 2. The addition of 65 Pa.C.S. § 1103(k) shall not
apply to a member of the General Assembly owning or serving on
the board of directors of a charter school or cyber charter
school on the effective date of this section for the remainder

of the current legislative session.
Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
