AN ACT
Amending Title 20 (Decedents, Estates and Fiduciaries) of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in intestate succession,
further providing for forfeiture.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 2106 of Title 20 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding subsections to read:
ยง 2106. Forfeiture.

(b.1) Estranged parent's share of adult child's estate.--The
following apply:
(1) A parent of a deceased adult child who is estranged
shall have no right or interest under this chapter in the
adult child's real or personal estate. In determining if a
parent was estranged from an adult child, a court shall take
into account the relationship between the adult child and the
parent, including the nature and duration of the
relationship, the conduct of the parent before and after the
