AN ACT
Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in inchoate crimes, providing for
disguised firearms.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 18 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
ยง 908.2. Disguised firearms.
(a) Offense defined.--A person commits a misdemeanor of the
first degree if the person makes repairs, sells or otherwise
deals in, uses or possesses:
(1) a disguised firearm.
(2) a firearm that is not detectable as a weapon or
potential weapon by an x-ray machine commonly used at
airports or a walk-through metal detector.
(b) Definition.--As used in this section, the term
"disguised firearm" means a firearm that is constructed in a
shape or configuration such that it does not resemble a handgun,

rifle, shotgun or machine gun, including a firearm that
resembles a key chain, pen, cigarette lighter, cigarette
package, cellphone, smart phone, wallet or cane.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
