AN ACT
Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
act relating to the public school system, including certain
provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
laws relating thereto," in school districts, requiring radon
reports; and, in grounds and buildings, requiring radon
testing.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), known
as the Public School Code of 1949, is amended by adding sections
to read:
Section 223.1. Radon Report.--The board of directors of each
school district shall provide written notice to the parent or
guardian of each student within ten (10) business days of the
start of the school year. The notice shall include the following
information:
(1) The date the radon testing under section 787 was
conducted in the school buildings in the school district in the
