AN ACT
Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in powers and duties, providing for
prohibited actions.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 66 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
ยง 531. Prohibited actions.
T he commission or the commission's agent may not deny a
written request of two or more members of the General Assembly
to hold an in-person public hearing in the service territory of
an area to be impacted by a filing pending before the
commission, including, but not limited to, a filing under
section 1308(d) (relating to voluntary changes in rates).
Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
