A RESOLUTION
Commemorating the 125th anniversary of The Hershey Company.
WHEREAS, The Hershey Company ranks first in United States
confection and second in United States snack manufacturing; and
WHEREAS, The Hershey Company's iconic brands, including
Hershey's Milk Chocolate and Hershey's Kisses, generate more
than $7.8 billion annually; and
WHEREAS, The Hershey Company has manufacturing facilities,
retail partners, nonprofit partners, community partners and
approximately 16,500 employees around the world; and
WHEREAS, The Hershey Company is headquartered in Hershey, the
community industrialist Milton Hershey built around his Derry
Township chocolate factory; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hershey founded The Hershey Chocolate Company in
Lancaster County in 1894 and broke ground in Dauphin County in
1903; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Hershey's "Great Building Campaign" produced
