Scranton and will open in western Pennsylvania in Bridgeville,
outside Pittsburgh, Allegheny County, in 2019, to introduce
students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades to a wide range of
careers through a mock town experiential learning facility and
12 hours of in-class instruction; and
WHEREAS, Junior Achievement programs align with the
Department of Education's Career, Education and Work Standards
and Future Ready PA Index; and
WHEREAS, Junior Achievement's blended online in-class
instruction learning programs have been funded the last three
fiscal years through the Department of Education's Job Training
and Education Programs line item; and
WHEREAS, Junior Achievement empowers young people to own
their economic success; and
WHEREAS, Junior Achievement believes in the boundless
potential of young people, is committed to the principles of
market-based economics and entrepreneurship and is passionate
about what individuals do while practicing honesty, integrity
and excellence; and
