AN ACT
Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
act relating to the public school system, including certain
provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
laws relating thereto," in terms and courses of study,
further providing for pandemic of 2020.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1501.8(l)(1) of the act of March 10, 1949
(P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, added
March 27, 2020 (P.L. , No.13), is amended to read:
Section 1501.8. Pandemic of 2020.--* * *
(l) The following shall apply:
(1) Each school entity may renegotiate a contract for
contract service providers and school bus transportation
services to ensure contracted personnel and fixed costs,
including administrative and equipment, are maintained during
the period of school closure. During the period of school
closure, the contract service provider and school bus

transportation contractor shall submit weekly documentation to
the school entity that its complement levels remain at or above
the level on March 13, 2020, in order to continue being paid.

Section 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
