AN ACT
Designating a bridge on that portion of Pennsylvania Route 56
over the Conemaugh River, Indiana County, as the Spc. Beverly
S. Clark Memorial Bridge.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Spc. Beverly S. Clark Memorial Bridge.
(a) Findings.--The General Assembly finds and declares as
follows:
(1) Specialist Beverly S. Clark, a native of Indiana
County, joined the Westmoreland County-based 14th
Quartermaster Detachment of the Army Reserves upon graduation
from high school.
(2) On February 25, 1991, Specialist Clark, 23 years of
age, was killed during a Scud missile attack on the United
States military barracks at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
(b) Designation.--The bridge located on Pennsylvania Route
56 over the Conemaugh River, Indiana County, is designated the
Spc. Beverly S. Clark Memorial Bridge.
(c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and

maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the bridge to
traffic in both directions on the bridge.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act shall take effect in 60 days.
