A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the month of November 2020, as "National Adoption
Month" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, For over two decades, "National Adoption Month" has
been promoted and celebrated every November in communities
across the country; and
WHEREAS, Throughout the month, many national, State and local
agencies, as well as foster, kinship care and adoptive family
groups, help educate their communities through programs, events
and activities that raise awareness about the thousands of
children and youth currently in foster care who are waiting to
be adopted; and
WHEREAS, "National Adoption Month" serves to raise awareness
and to recognize the collaboration and commitment of both public
and private adoption agencies in dedication to the needs of
children throughout this Commonwealth and the nation; therefore
