A RESOLUTION
Honoring the high school students in this Commonwealth who are
graduating in the class of 2020 and congratulating them for
their achievements.
WHEREAS, High school students across this Commonwealth will
soon achieve the important milestone of earning a high school
diploma; and
WHEREAS, These high school students are the future of this
Commonwealth because they will use their unique talents to
strengthen the quality of life for the residents of
Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS, All high school graduates in this Commonwealth
should feel immensely proud of what they have accomplished; and

WHEREAS, In order to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19
virus, in-person high school graduation commencement ceremonies
across this Commonwealth have been canceled; and
WHEREAS, The cancellation of high school graduation
commencement ceremonies and social distancing guidelines will
prevent high school graduates and their families from the
traditional community celebrations that make graduation day so
meaningful; and
WHEREAS, All high school graduates deserve to be honored and
congratulated for their great achievements; and
WHEREAS, In times of hardship, it is important that we pause
for a moment to celebrate the good in our lives; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the high
school students in this Commonwealth who are graduating in the
class of 2020 and congratulate them for their achievements; and
be it further
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
hard work and dedication that all high school students in this
Commonwealth put in to earn their high school diplomas; and be
it further
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives wish all high
school graduates in this Commonwealth continued success and
fulfillment in their future endeavors.
