A RESOLUTION
Honoring the 50th anniversary of Penske Truck Leasing.
WHEREAS, On December 1, 1969, after retiring from race car
driving, renowned driver Roger S. Penske bought a small truck
renting and leasing company with three locations: Reading in
Berks County, Pottsville in Schuylkill County and Allentown in
Lehigh County; and
WHEREAS, Reading remains the headquarters of Penske Truck
Leasing, which has grown to a multibillion-dollar transportation
services company with more than 1,100 locations in North
America, South America, Europe, Australia and Asia, employing
more than 36,000 people and operating more than 326,000
vehicles; and
WHEREAS, In addition to leasing and renting trucks, Penske
Truck Leasing offers logistics services; and
WHEREAS, This year marks the 50th anniversary of the founding
of Penske Truck Leasing; and
WHEREAS, Penske Truck Leasing is marking its anniversary with

a variety of events over the course of this year in celebration
of the dedication to excellence by its hardworking associates;
therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the 50th
anniversary of Penske Truck Leasing.
