A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the United States Women's National Team for winning
the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup.
WHEREAS, On July 7, 2019, the United States Women's National
Team defeated the Netherlands by a score of 2-0, winning the
eighth FIFA Women's World Cup; and
WHEREAS, The win was the fourth Women's World Cup title for
the United States; and
WHEREAS, The United States Women's National Team previously
won the World Cup in 1991, 1999 and 2015; and
WHEREAS, The United States Women's National Team is the first
team to win four Women's World Cup titles; and
WHEREAS, With their fourth title, the team members are now
the only players in the world with four stars on their jerseys

to represent the team's four titles; and
WHEREAS, The United States Women's National Team inspired our
country and appropriately used the slogan "One Nation. One
Team." as the team advanced through the tournament and won the
title; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
United States Women's National Team for winning the 2019 FIFA
Women's World Cup.
