A RESOLUTION
Designating the week of May 5 through 11, 2019, as "Small
Business Week" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Small business employers and employees constitute
nearly half of the United States workforce; and
WHEREAS, Each year since 1963, the President of the United
States has signed a "National Small Business Week" proclamation;
and
WHEREAS, This observance recognizes the risk-takers,
innovators and investors who steer small business development
and performance; and
WHEREAS, Their enterprises create two out of every three new
jobs; and
WHEREAS, In this Commonwealth, small-scale enterprises
represent 99.6% of all employers and 2.5 million private-sector
employees; and
