AN ACT
Amending Title 23 (Domestic Relations) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in dissolution of marital status,
further providing for decree of court.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 3323 of Title 23 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
ยง 3323. Decree of court.

(c) Existing life insurance policies.--A decree of divorce
or annulment of the marriage shall include a provision informing
the parties to update the beneficiary status on an existing life
insurance policy if it is the intention of one of the parties
to keep the other party as a beneficiary on the life insurance
policy.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
