AN ACT
Amending Title 42 (Judiciary and Judicial Procedure) of the
Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes, in sentencing, providing
for Internet access restricted.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 42 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
ยง 9799.43. Internet access restricted.
(a) General rule.--An individual who uses the Internet to
commit an offense for which the individual must register as a
sex offender under this subchapter shall be prohibited from
accessing the Internet.
(b) Exception.--An individual prohibited from accessing the
Internet under subsection (a) may access the Internet for
employment-related purposes.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
