AN ACT
Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, in registration of vehicles, further providing for
issuance of registration card.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1308 of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
§ 1308. Issuance of registration card.
(a) General rule.--The department, upon registering a
vehicle, shall issue to the registrant a registration card which
shall contain the registration number assigned to the vehicle,
the name and address of the registrant and the name of the
owner, if other than the registrant, a description of the
vehicle including the vehicle identification number, the
expiration date and such other information as may be determined
by the department.
(a.1) Registration class sticker.--A registration class
sticker, as defined in 67 Pa. Code § 55.3 (relating to

definitions), shall not be issued or required to be displayed.

Section 2. The following provisions are abrogated:
(1) The following provisions of 67 Pa. Code (relating to
transportation) are abrogated:
(i) § 55.4 (relating to issuance).
(ii) § 55.5 (relating to display).
(iii) § 55.6 (relating to period of validity).
(iv) § 177.291 (b)(4) (relating to procedures
relating to certificates of emission inspection), insofar
as it is inconsistent with the amendment of 75 Pa.C.S. §
1308 (relating to issuance of registration card).
(2) Any other provisions of 67 Pa. Code insofar as they
are inconsistent with the amendment of 75 Pa.C.S. § 1308.
Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
