AN ACT
Amending Title 51 (Military Affairs) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in professional and occupational
licenses, providing for military medical personnel pilot
program.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 51 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
ยง 7504. Military medical personnel pilot program.
(a) Establishment.--The Department of Health and the
Department of State in consultation with the department shall
establish a pilot program in which military medical personnel
may practice and perform certain delegated duties that
constitute the practice of medicine under the supervision of a
physician or podiatrist who holds an active, unrestricted
license issued by the Commonwealth. The duties shall reflect the
level of training and experience of the military medical
personnel. The supervising physician or podiatrist shall retain

responsibility for the care of the patient.
(b) Participation.--A licensed physician, podiatrist,
hospital or medical facility that is supervised by one or more
physicians or podiatrists may participate in the pilot program.
(c) Requirements.--The departments listed under subsection
(a) shall establish general requirements for participating
military medical personnel, licensees and employers.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
