AN ACT
Amending the act of December 22, 2011 (P.L.586, No.127),
entitled "An act providing for gas and hazardous liquids
pipelines and for powers and duties of the Pennsylvania
Public Utility Commission; and imposing civil penalties," in
pipeline operators, providing for public risk assessments.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. The act of December 22, 2011 (P.L.586, No.127),
known as the Gas and Hazardous Liquids Pipelines Act, is amended
by adding a section to read:
Section 303. Public risk assessments.
U pon receipt of a written request, a pipeline operator or
public utility engaged in the transportation of liquefied
natural gas, petroleum or petroleum products shall publicly
disclose pertinent information on risk assessments conducted on
the facilities of the pipeline operator or public utility.
Before disclosing information on risk assessments, the pipeline
operator or public utility shall be entitled to recoup the
reasonable costs incurred to comply with this section from the
person who requested the information.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
