A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the week of February 4 through 10, 2018, as
"National FBLA Week" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA), a
nonprofit educational organization, engages students from middle
schools, high schools, colleges, universities, career and
technical schools and private business schools nationwide; and
WHEREAS, Service, education and progress are core FBLA
concepts; and
WHEREAS, Advisors, facilitators, sponsors and partners
support student members and student teams as they pursue school-
to-work activities, carve a path to national FBLA competitions
and qualify for postsecondary scholarships; and
WHEREAS, The Bureau of Career and Technical Education of the
Department of Education administers the FBLA program in this
Commonwealth; and

WHEREAS, Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America (PA
FBLA) offers academic scholarships to senior members,
coordinates competitive events and conducts State leadership
conferences and webinars to bring together business and
education; and
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives applauds FBLA and PA
FBLA for consistently facilitating service opportunities and
academic progress while promoting leadership ideals and career
development; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
week of February 4 through 10, 2018, as "National FBLA Week" in
Pennsylvania; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
Pennsylvania Future Business Leaders of America, Post Office Box
5085, Jersey Shore PA 17740.
