A RESOLUTION
Designating the week of May 1 through 8, 2017, as "Children's
Mental Health Awareness Week" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Addressing the complex mental health needs of
children, youths and families is fundamental to the future of
our Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, Developing comprehensive, coordinated mental health
services for children, youths and families is a critical
responsibility of State government; and
WHEREAS, It is appropriate that we set aside one week each
year to direct our attention to our children's mental health and
well-being and our system of related resources and services;
therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
week of May 1 through 8, 2017, as "Children's Mental Health
Awareness Week" in Pennsylvania; and be it further

RESOLVED, That all residents, agencies and organizations
interested in meeting every child's mental health needs unite in
this observance and in addressing the fundamental necessity of a
comprehensive year-round mental health program for children,
youths and families.
