AN ACT
Designating a bridge on that portion of Pennsylvania Route 980
over Robinson Run, McDonald Borough, Washington County, as
the Fire Chief Scott Albertini Memorial Bridge.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Fire Chief Scott Albertini Memorial Bridge.
(a) Findings.--The General Assembly finds and declares as
follows:
(1) Scott Albertini was killed in an explosion at an
industrial site in West Virginia on June 20, 2017.
(2) Born in Canonsburg on November 6, 1963, Mr.
Albertini had worked in the hazardous chemical industry for
more than two decades.
(3) Chief of the McDonald Volunteer Fire Department, Mr.
Albertini joined the organization in 1982 and worked his way
through various line officer positions of increasing
responsibility.

(4) An evaluator for the Washington County Fireman's
Association and a member of the Western Pennsylvania
Fireman's Association, Mr. Albertini served as an emergency
medical technician for the Fort Cherry Youth Football
program.
(b) Designation.--The bridge located on Pennsylvania Route
980 over Robinson Run, McDonald Borough, Washington County, is
designated the Fire Chief Scott Albertini Memorial Bridge.
(c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the bridge to
traffic in both directions on the bridge.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act shall take effect in 60 days.
