AN ACT
Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
act relating to the public school system, including certain
provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
laws relating thereto," in pupils and attendance, further
providing for home education program.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1327.1 of the act of March 10, 1949
(P.L.30, No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, is
amended by adding a subsection to read:
Section 1327.1. Home Education Program.--* * *
(f.2) The school district of residence shall provide access
to libraries within the district to students enrolled in a home
education program and home education supervisors for the purpose
of borrowing scholastic materials. School districts providing
library access may designate specific time periods in which
students enrolled in home education programs and home education
supervisors are permitted to use their facilities. School

districts providing library access may exclude or may set
guidelines for use of their facilities by students participating
in a home education program who have previously been excluded in
the form of suspension or expulsion, as provided for in 22 Pa.
Code Ch. 12 (relating to students and student services), from
any public or private school.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
