AN ACT
Amending Title 57 (Notaries Public) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in revised uniform law on notarial
acts, further providing for appointment and commission as
notary public, qualifications and no immunity or benefit.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 321 of Title 57 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
ยง 321. Appointment and commission as notary public;
qualifications; no immunity or benefit.

(b.1) Licensed attorneys.--A licensed attorney who satisfies
the following is otherwise exempt from the requirements for
appointment and commission as a notary public under subsection
(a) and section 322:
(1) Completes and submits the prescribed application.
(2) Submits the nonrefundable filing fee.
(3) Submits proof of being a licensed attorney in good

standing with the Pennsylvania Supreme Court.
(4) Is not disqualified to receive a commission under
section 323.

Section 2. This act shall take effect October 26, 2017, or
immediately, whichever is later.
