AN ACT
Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in falsification and intimidation,
further providing for false identification to law enforcement
authorities.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 4914 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended to read:
ยง 4914. False identification to law enforcement authorities.
(a) Offense defined.--A person commits an offense if he
furnishes law enforcement authorities with false information
about his identity, or fails to disclose employment information,
after being informed by a law enforcement officer who is in
uniform or who has identified himself as a law enforcement
officer that the person is the subject of an official
investigation of a violation of law.
(b) Grading.--An offense under this section is a misdemeanor
of the third degree.
(c) Penalty.--In addition to any other penalty that may be

imposed, a person convicted under this section shall be
sentenced to pay a fine of at least $1,000.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
