AN ACT
Authorizing the Department of General Services, with the
approval of the Governor, to dedicate to Cresson Township a
right-of-way from lands of the Commonwealth at the State
Correctional Institution-Cresson, situate in Cresson
Township, Cambria County, for the purpose of laying out and
constructing a public roadway.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Conveyance.
The Department of General Services, with the approval of the
Governor, is hereby authorized on behalf of the Commonwealth to
dedicate to Cresson Township a right-of-way from lands of the
Commonwealth at the State Correctional Institution-Cresson,
situate in Cresson Township, Cambria County, for the purpose of
laying out and constructing a public roadway, for $1, and under
terms and conditions to be established in a deed of dedication.
Section 2. Property description.
The right-of-way to be conveyed under section 1 contains
approximately 3.30 acres, and is bounded and more particularly
described as follows:

BEGINNING at an iron pin on the southern legal right-of-way
line of Admiral Peary Highway (SR 2014), and corner of Lot No.
4, recorded in Plat Book 11 at Page 89 File Number 2016-00001420
in Cambria County Courthouse and land of the Township of
Cresson; thence along the legal right-of-way line of Admiral
Peary Highway (SR 2014) North 82°10'34" West, a distance of
442.63 feet to an iron pin set on the right-of-way Admiral Peary
Highway (SR 2014), the true point of beginning and being a point
on the eastern 80' right-of-way line of the proposed dedicated
street to Cresson Township; thence along Lot No. 4 and the
eastern 80' right-of-way the following six (6) courses and
distance: following a curve to the left having a radius of 35.00
feet, a distance of 57.25 feet and a chord bearing and distance
of South 50°57'55" West, 51.08 feet to a point; thence following
a curve to the left having a radius of 160.00 feet, a distance
of 111.77 feet and a chord bearing and distance of South
15°54'19" East, 109.51 feet to a point; thence South 35°55'01"
East, a distance of 96.21 feet to a point; thence following a
curve to the right having a radius of 240.00 feet, a distance of
159.41 feet and a chord bearing and distance of South 16°53'19"
East, 156.50 feet to a point; thence South 02°08'22" West, a
distance of 692.62 feet to a point; thence following a curve to
the left having a radius of 487.25 feet, a distance of 100.48
feet and a chord bearing and distance of South 03°46'05" East,
100.30 feet to a metal stake, being the corner of Lot Nos. 4 and
1 and the lands of the Township of Cresson; thence following the
80' right-of-way and Lot No. 1 the following five (5) courses:
following a curve to the left having a radius of 487.25 feet, a
distance of 220.87 feet and a chord bearing and distance of
South 22°39'44" East, 218.99 feet to a point; thence South

of-way the next two (2) courses: North 35°38'54" West, a
distance of 80.67 feet to a point; thence following a curve to
the right having a radius of 567.25 feet, a distance of 167.02
feet and a chord bearing and distance of North 27°12'48" West,
166.42 feet to an iron pin, being the corner of Lot Nos. 3 and 5
of the abovementioned plan; thence along the western 80' right-
of-way and Lot No. 5 the following six (6) courses: following a
curve to the right having a radius of 567.24 feet, a distance of
207.09 feet and a chord bearing and distance of North 08°19'09"
West, 205.94 feet to a point; thence North 02°08'22" East, a
distance of 692.62 feet to a point; thence following a curve to
the left having a radius of 160.00 feet, a distance of 106.27
feet and having a chord bearing and distance of North 16°53'19"
West, 104.33 feet to a point; thence North 35°55'01" West, a
distance of 96.21 feet to a point; thence following a curve to
the right having a radius of 240.00 feet, a distance of 176.15
feet and a chord bearing and distance of North 14°53'27" West,
172.22 feet to a point; thence following a curve to the left
having a radius of 35.00 feet, a distance of 53.95 feet and a

chord bearing and distance of North 38°01'14" West, 48.76 feet
to an iron pin at the corner of Lot No. 5, the western 80'
right-of-way and the southern legal right-of-way line of Admiral
Peary Highway (SR 2014); thence following the southern legal
right-of-way line of Admiral Peary Highway (SR 2014) South
82°10'34" East, a distance of 150.14 feet to an iron pin; the
point of BEGINNING.
CONTAINING: 143,532.59 sq. ft. or 3.30 acres
Section 3. Execution.
The deed of dedication shall be executed by the Secretary of
General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania.
Section 4. Costs and fees.
Costs and fees incidental to the conveyance of the right-of-
way shall be borne by the grantee.
Section 5. Expiration.
If Cresson Township does not accept the deed of dedication
authorized under this act within two years of the effective date
of this act, the authorization under this act shall expire.
Section 6. Effective date.
This act shall take effect immediately.
