A RESOLUTION
Honoring the Commonwealth's ambassador for the White House
Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
WHEREAS, Anitra Jackson was awarded a full merit scholarship
to attend the nation's first historically black university,
Cheyney University of Pennsylvania; and
WHEREAS, Anitra Jackson is a student with a double major in
computer science and mathematics, and she participated as a
member of the track and field, tennis and cross country teams;
and
WHEREAS, Anitra Jackson is a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta
Honor Society, the Keystone Honors Council and the Student
Academic Council and an executive board member of the National
Society of Leadership and Success; and
WHEREAS, Anitra Jackson was crowned Miss Cheyney 2016; and
WHEREAS, Anitra Jackson is the only college student in this
Commonwealth to serve as an ambassador for the White House

Initiative on Historically Black Colleges and Universities and
has attained distinction as a 2016 Historically Black Colleges
and Universities All-Star; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the
Commonwealth's ambassador for the White House Initiative on
Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
