A RESOLUTION
Designating June 21, 2016, as "Pennsylvania State Grange Family
Day" and congratulating Pennsylvania State Grange members for
their important role in promoting Pennsylvania agriculture.
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange was established in
Reading, Pennsylvania, in 1873 as one of the first agricultural
organizations to give farm families a positive voice in State
and community affairs; and
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange represents farm
families throughout this Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange has always stressed
the role that families play in making agriculture Pennsylvania's
foremost industry; and
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange has been a
constructive advocate to the Pennsylvania General Assembly in
promoting the economic and cultural contributions to the quality

of life and food security of all residents of this Commonwealth;
and
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania State Grange has been and continues
to be a strong voice for agriculture at all levels of
government; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate June
21, 2016, as "Pennsylvania State Grange Family Day" and
congratulate Pennsylvania State Grange members and families for
their dedication to our Commonwealth.
