A RESOLUTION
Honoring the memory of Alexis R. Hendrickes, who passed away at
the age of 16 on March 28, 2016.
WHEREAS, Alexis R. Hendrickes was born on June 3, 1999, to
her parents, Willie Hendrickes III and Lisa Fuller Hendrickes;
and
WHEREAS, She attended Saint Margaret Mary School, where she
participated in cheerleading; and
WHEREAS, As a student at Bishop McDevitt High School, Alexis
was a member of the yearbook staff and excelled in the shot put
event as a member of the track and field team; and
WHEREAS, Alexis attended the Richie School of Dance, where
she participated in ballet, tap, baton and jazz classes for many
years; and
WHEREAS, She was a volunteer with the East Shore branch of
the Dauphin County Library for six years and had several books
in circulation named in her honor for her dedicated volunteer
service; and
WHEREAS, At a young age, Alexis assisted her mother at the

House of Representatives in the Democratic Appropriations
Committee under the Honorable Dwight Evans; and
WHEREAS, She was a gifted student, had a passion for biology
and was touring colleges to become a physician's assistant, and
enjoyed reading books, cooking, listening to music and spending
time with her family and friends; and
WHEREAS, A beloved daughter and exemplary student and
citizen, Alexis consistently demonstrated outstanding ability,
concern and generosity of spirit, thereby bringing great credit
to her school, her family and her community; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives express its
sorrow on the passing of Alexis R. Hendrickes, and extend
heartfelt condolences to her parents, Willie R. Hendrickes III
and Lisa Fuller Hendrickes, her paternal grandfather, Willie
Hendrickes, Jr., and numerous other family members, classmates
and friends; and be it further
RESOLVED, That a copy of this resolution be transmitted to
Willie R. Hendrickes III and Lisa Fuller Hendrickes.
