A RESOLUTION
Condemning the use of performance-enhancing drugs by athletes,
rebuking any organization that knowingly allows or encourages
athletes to use performance-enhancing drugs and urging all
high school and college coaches and athletic directors in
this Commonwealth to educate themselves and their athletes
about the dangers of performance-enhancing drugs.
WHEREAS, Use of performance-enhancing drugs, commonly
referred to as doping, is rampant among some professional
athletes, especially those participating in strongman
competitions such as "World's Strongest Man" owned by IMG,
"Arnold Sports Festival," "Arnold Classic," "Arnold Fitness
Expo," "Arnold Strongman Classic," "America's Strongest Man,"
"Arnold Amateur Stongman World Championship," and other similar
events sponsored by North American Strongman; United States
Strongman; International Powerlifting Association; Starting
Strongman; Westside Barbell; Joe Weider Enterprise;
International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness; American
Strongman Corporation; Strongman Corporation; Olympia Strongman
Challenge; and Strongman Champions League; and
