A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the week of May 1 through 8, 2016, as "National
Music Week" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Music is the universal language of the world,
inspiring millions of people around the globe in a multitude of
positive ways; and
WHEREAS, Sponsored annually by the National Federation of
Music Clubs (NFMC), "National Music Week" serves to enhance our
understanding and appreciation of the value of music in the
home, the community, the nation and the world; and
WHEREAS, The week of May 1 through 8, 2016, will signal the
93rd annual observance of "National Music Week"; and
WHEREAS, This year's theme is "Music...Notes to the Future,"
which emphasizes NFMC President Michael Edwards' theme for his
presidency, "Keeping the Music Alive for the Future"; and
