A RESOLUTION
Honoring Cheltenham High School's Girls and Boys Indoor Track
Teams, from Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County, for
becoming State Champions for 2015 at the State Indoor Track
and Field Championships.
WHEREAS, On March 1, 2015, the Pennsylvania Track and Field
Coaches Association State Track and Field Championships were
held at Penn State University's Horace Ashenfelter Indoor Track
Facility in State College, Centre County; and
WHEREAS, The Cheltenham High School Girls Indoor Track Team
and Boys Indoor Track Team, from Cheltenham Township, Montgomery
County, each emerged victorious in this highly competitive event
and inspired the Statewide audience in attendance with their
electrifying performances as each team earned the title of State
Champions for 2015; and
WHEREAS, In achieving this impressive feat, the Cheltenham
Girls Team was led by four seniors, one who set an all-time

State record while winning the 60 Meter Hurdles and another who
set a new school record while winning the 60 Meter Dash, while a
freshman was the winner of the Long Jump and placed seventh in
the 60 Meter Hurdles; and
WHEREAS, The Girls 4 x 200 Meter Relay team set a new State
record in winning their event and one freshman finished third in
the 400 Meter Dash, while another freshman played an all-
important role in the second place finish by the 4 x 400 Meter
Relay team, all of which added to the Girls Team's inspiring
accomplishments; and
WHEREAS, The Cheltenham Boys Team became State Champions by
earning a total of 74 points, with the next closest competing
team having 43 points; and
WHEREAS, The Boys Team performed at a very high level, as six
of their top athletes saved their best performances of the
season for this highly competitive track meet; and
WHEREAS, These gifted, dedicated high school athletes on both
the girls and boys teams delivered outstanding performances in
the Cheltenham High School Panthers' commanding victory over a
high quality field of competitors; and
WHEREAS, Both the Girls Track Team and the Boys Track Team
were repeat State Champions by earning this year's State title
and this unique, towering achievement sets them apart from their
worthy competitors; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives honor the
Cheltenham High School Girls Indoor Track Team and Boys Indoor
Track Team from Cheltenham Township, Montgomery County, for
becoming State Champions of Indoor Track for 2015; and be it
further
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives pay special

tribute to the Cheltenham High School Panthers Girls and Boys
Indoor Track Teams for having repeated as State Champions in
