A RESOLUTION
Designating April 15, 2015, as "Taxpayer Appreciation Day" in
Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania government provides public services
that are considered essential; and
WHEREAS, The most essential, yet often overlooked, component
of the daily functioning of these services is the role of this
Commonwealth's taxpayers; and
WHEREAS, Taxes are collected from hardworking Pennsylvanians
each year and are used to ensure that children learn to read and
neighborhoods are kept safe; and
WHEREAS, Through income taxes, sales taxes and property
taxes, Pennsylvanians contribute to the many services and
programs provided in this Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania government could not exist without
the tax dollars collected from these diligent men and women who
work daily, year after year, to provide for themselves and their

families; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate April
15, 2015, as "Taxpayer Appreciation Day" in Pennsylvania, to
acknowledge the vital role of the taxpayer in the daily
operation of the Pennsylvania government.
