A RESOLUTION
Designating the month of March 2015 as "Save Your Vision Month"
in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, Sight is a precious and valuable gift that enables
individuals to experience the wonder of the world around us; and
WHEREAS, Professional eye care can safeguard and maintain the
visual welfare of the residents of this Commonwealth; and
WHEREAS, The American Optometric Association and Optometry
Cares® – The AOA Foundation have called upon the leaders of this
Commonwealth to help all residents become more aware of the
importance of obtaining regular eye examinations and maintaining
good eye health; and
WHEREAS, The House of Representatives desires to join doctors
of optometry, other health care professionals, business and
civic leaders, educators and the media to unite in an effort to

broaden the understanding of eye health and safety in this
Commonwealth; therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives designate the
month of March 2015 as "Save Your Vision Month" in Pennsylvania
and urge all residents to observe this celebration by paying
special attention to personal eye and vision care needs and the
needs of those they cherish.
