A RESOLUTION
Honoring A+ Schools on its 10th anniversary and recognizing its
dedication and commitment to the community and the quality of
education and equity in the Pittsburgh Public Schools.
WHEREAS, A+ Schools was founded in 2004 as an independent,
nonprofit community advocate for improved student achievement in
the Pittsburgh Public Schools; and
WHEREAS, Since 2004, A+ Schools has served as a community
force advancing the highest educational achievement for every
student in Pittsburgh Public Schools; and
WHEREAS, A+ Schools provides oversight and ensures
accountability at all of the public schools in Pittsburgh; and
WHEREAS, A+ Schools strives to mobilize the community,
including students, parents, the general public, school
administrators, teachers and public officials through their
School Works, TeenBloc and Parent Nation programs; and
WHEREAS, As an independent advocate for improvement in public
