A RESOLUTION
Recognizing the week of February 1, 2015, as "Pennsylvania Young
Farmers' Association Week" in Pennsylvania.
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Young
Farmer Educational Association was founded in 1949; and
WHEREAS, The Pennsylvania Young Farmers' Association's
mission is to educate and promote the environmentally
appropriate production, marketing and processing of food, feed
and fiber; and
WHEREAS, The association provides instruction to
agriculturalists and the consumer public in the local community,
which aids the participants in making appropriate decisions; and
WHEREAS, The association engages in a close relationship with
agricultural organizations and other business and service
industries to enhance learning and cooperation; and

WHEREAS, The association is committed to promoting
agricultural education in the public school system, as well as
providing education to all age groups; and
WHEREAS, The association continues its leadership efforts by
promoting community relations between the consumer public and
the agricultural community on common concerns and issues;
therefore be it
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives recognize the
week of February 1, 2015, as "Pennsylvania Young Farmers'
Association Week" in Pennsylvania.
