AN ACT
Authorizing the Department of General Services, with the
approval of the Department of Transportation and the
Governor, to grant and convey, at a price to be determined
through a competitive bid process, certain lands, buildings
and improvements situate in Lawrence Township, Clearfield
County.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Conveyance authorization and competitive bidding.
The Department of General Services, with the approval of the
Department of Transportation and the Governor, is hereby
authorized on behalf of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to
grant and convey, at a price to be determined through a
competitive bidding process, the following tract of land
together with any buildings, structures or improvements thereon,
situate in Lawrence Township, Clearfield County.
Section 2. Property description.
The property to be conveyed under section 1 consists of a
tract of land totaling approximately 4.27 acres, including any
and all improvements located thereon, more particularly

described as follows:
ALL THAT CERTAIN piece or parcel of land located in Lawrence
Township, Clearfield County, Pennsylvania, bounded and described
as follows:
BEGINNING at a point offset northeasterly, at 90 degrees to
and 30 feet from the center line of State Highway Route 57, at
Station 1018/98.10, of the State Highway Straight Line Diagram
Enumeration; thence along the northerly right-of-way line of
State Highway Route 57, N. 49 degrees 44 minutes W. for a
distance of 147.05 feet to a point, thence by a curve to the
right, having a radius of 11,429.19 feet for a distance of
162.91 feet, to a point, thence N. 48 degrees 55 minutes W. for
a distance of 494.39 feet to a point, offset northeasterly, at
90 degrees to and 30 feet from the center line of State Highway
Route 57, at Station 1027/02.87, of the State Highway Straight
Line Diagram Enumeration; thence along lands of N/F Chester D.
and Gussie M. Bailey, N. 29 degrees 20 minutes E. for a distance
of 204.30 feet, to a point; thence along lands of Robinson Clay
Products Company N. 29 degrees 20 minutes E. for a distance of
163.6 feet, to a point, offset southwesterly, at 90 degrees to
and 33 feet from, the center line of the Pennsylvania Railroad
Company; thence along the southerly right-of-way line of the
Pennsylvania Railroad Company by a curve to the right, having a
radius of 2831.93 feet, for a distance of 733.57 feet, to a
point, thence S. 24 degrees 51 minutes E. for a distance of
257.79 feet to a point, offset southwesterly at 90 degrees to
and 33 feet from the center line of the Pennsylvania Railroad
Company; thence along lands of Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation, acquired for an unobstructed view January 16,
1936, S. 85 degrees 36 minutes 30 seconds East for a distance of

71.02 feet, to the point of beginning, containing 4.27 acres
more or less; reserving a right-of-way 50 feet in width for the
County Road leading to the N/F Clearfield County Home.
BEING the same premises the Clearfield County Institution
District conveyed to the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, by deed
dated April 13, 1953 and recorded in Deed Book 428, Page 280, at
the Clearfield County Courthouse, in the Borough of Clearfield,
Clearfield County.
Section 3. Requirement for conveyance.
The conveyance shall be made under and subject to all lawful
and enforceable easements, servitudes and rights of others,
including, but not limited to, streets, roadways and rights of
any telephone, telegraph, water, electric, gas or pipeline
companies, as well as under and subject to any lawful and
enforceable estates or tenancies vested in third persons
appearing of record, for any portion of the land or improvements
erected thereon.
Section 4. Deed.
The deed of conveyance shall be executed by the Secretary of
General Services in the name of the Commonwealth of
Pennsylvania.
Section 5. Proceeds.
The proceeds from the sale shall be deposited in the Motor
License Fund and shall be available to the Department of
Transportation for all duly authorized purposes.
Section 6. Effective date.
This act shall take effect immediately.
