AN ACT
Amending the act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.103, No.69), entitled, as
reenacted and amended, "An act concerning townships of the
second class; and amending, revising, consolidating and
changing the law relating thereto," further providing for
intergovernmental cooperation.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1507 of the act of May 1, 1933 (P.L.103,
No.69), known as The Second Class Township Code, reenacted and
amended November 9, 1995 (P.L.350, No.60) is amended to read:
Section 1507. Intergovernmental Cooperation.--The board of
supervisors may [by ordinance] make agreements with other
municipal corporations in performing governmental powers, duties
and functions and in carrying into effect provisions of [the act
of July 12, 1972 (P.L.762, No.180), referred to as the
Intergovernmental Cooperation Law] 53 Pa.C.S. Ch. 23 Subch. A
(relating to intergovernmental cooperation).
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
