AN ACT
Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in criminal homicide, further
providing for the offense of voluntary manslaughter.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 2503 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
ยง 2503. Voluntary manslaughter.

(d) Definitions.--As used in this section, the following
words and phrases shall have the meanings given to them in this
subsection unless the context clearly indicates otherwise:
"Serious provocation." The term does not include the
discovery of, knowledge about or potential disclosure of the
homicide victim's actual or perceived gender identity or
expression or affectional or sexual orientation.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
