AN ACT
Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in open meetings, further providing
for executive sessions.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 708(a) of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
ยง 708. Executive sessions.
(a) Purpose.--An agency may hold an executive session for
one or more of the following reasons:

(7) To review and discuss agency business, the
disclosure of which, if conducted in public, would:
(i) be reasonably likely to result in a substantial
and demonstrable risk of physical harm to or the personal
security of an individual; or
(ii) create a reasonable likelihood of endangering
the safety or the physical security of a building, public

utility, resource, infrastructure, facility or
information storage system.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
