AN ACT
Designating an overpass on State Route 49 over State Route 15,
Lawrence Township, Tioga County, as the Lance Corporal
Michael G. Plank Memorial Bridge.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Lance Corporal Michael G. Plank Memorial Bridge.
(a) Findings.--
(1) Lance Corporal Michael G. Plank was a 2004 graduate
of Elkland High School, Tioga County.
(2) Lance Corporal Plank served in the Marine Corps
assigned to the 7th Engineer Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics
Group, Camp Pendleton, California.
(3) On June 9, 2010, Lance Corporal Plank died while
supporting combat operations in Helmand Province,
Afghanistan.

(4) Lance Corporal Plank received the National Defense
Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the War on Terrorism
Service Medal, the Non-Article 5 ISAF Medal and the Rifle
Expert, 2nd Award.
(b) Designation.--The overpass on State Route 49 over State
Route 15, Lawrence Township, Tioga County, is hereby designated
the Lance Corporal Michael G. Plank Memorial Bridge.
(c) Signs.--The Department of Transportation shall erect and
maintain appropriate signs displaying the name of the bridge to
traffic in both directions on the bridge.
Section 2. Effective date.
This act shall take effect in 60 days.
