AN ACT
Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in minors, further providing for
purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of liquor
or malt or brewed beverages.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 6308 of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
ยง 6308. Purchase, consumption, possession or transportation of
liquor or malt or brewed beverages.

(g) Breath test device authorized.--If a police officer has
reasonable suspicion that a minor has consumed alcohol, as part
of an investigation into a violation of this section, the
officer may request that the minor submit to a test of the
minor's breath using a device approved by the Department of
Health for the purpose of detecting whether alcohol has been
consumed.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
