AN ACT
Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in ethics standards and financial
disclosure, further providing for restricted activities.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 1103 of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:
ยง 1103. Restricted activities.

(k) Legislative fundraising on session days.--On a day when
either house of the General Assembly is in session:
(1) No person shall offer or give to a public official
or public employee of the legislative branch of this
Commonwealth or a member of his immediate family or a
business with which he is associated anything of monetary
value, including a gift, loan or political contribution for a
campaign for office in the legislative branch.
(2) No public official or public employee of the
legislative branch of this Commonwealth shall solicit or

accept anything of monetary value, including a gift, loan or
political contribution for a campaign for office in the
legislative branch.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
