AN ACT
Amending Title 66 (Public Utilities) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in service and facilities, providing
for electricity supplied to seasonal businesses.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 66 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
ยง 1512. Electricity supplied to seasonal businesses.
(a) Limitation on charges.--If a customer of a seasonal
business has not requested that electric service be disconnected
during any period of nonuse of the seasonal business and there
is no usage of the electric service during that period, a public
utility supplying electric service to the customer may not
impose a monthly fee during the period of nonuse that exceeds
$25 per month.
(b) Definition.--For purposes of this section, "seasonal
business" means a campground, ski resort, amusement park, fair
ground, hunting camp, golf course, recreational park, community

pool, sport complex or water park.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
