AN ACT
Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes, in registration of vehicles, providing for special
pediatric cancer research registration plate, and
establishing The Pediatric Cancer Research Fund.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Title 75 of the Pennsylvania Consolidated
Statutes is amended by adding a section to read:
ยง 1369.3. Pediatric Cancer research registration plate.
(a) Plate.--The department, in consultation with relevant
stakeholders, shall design a special pediatric cancer research
registration plate. Upon application of any person, accompanied
by a fee of $50, which shall be in addition to the annual
registration fee, the department shall issue the plate for a
passenger car or truck with a registered gross weight of not
more than 14,000 pounds, or a motor home.

(b) Pediatric Cancer Research Fund.--The Pediatric Cancer
Research Fund is established in the State Treasury. The fee
collected by the department under this section shall be
deposited in the fund. All money in the fund shall be allocated
annually to institutions in this Commonwealth that conduct
pediatric cancer research. The allocation of funds shall be
equal among all pediatric cancer research institutions.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
