AN ACT
Amending Title 18 (Crimes and Offenses) of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes, in assault, further providing for
offense of neglect of care-dependent person.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 2713(b) of Title 18 of the Pennsylvania
Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:
ยง 2713. Neglect of care-dependent person.

(b) Penalty.--

(5) The Pennsylvania Commission on Sentencing shall
provide a sentencing enhancement for a violation of
subsection (a) that results in the victim's death.

Section 2. This act shall take effect in 180 days.
