AN ACT
Amending the act of July 2, 1993 (P.L.345, No.48), entitled "An
act empowering the General Counsel or his designee to issue
subpoenas for certain licensing board activities; providing
for hearing examiners in the Bureau of Professional and
Occupational Affairs; providing additional powers to the
Commissioner of Professional and Occupational Affairs; and
further providing for civil penalties and license
suspension," further providing for hearing examiners.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 3 of the act of July 2, 1993 (P.L.345,
No.48), entitled "An act empowering the General Counsel or his
designee to issue subpoenas for certain licensing board
activities; providing for hearing examiners in the Bureau of
Professional and Occupational Affairs; providing additional
powers to the Commissioner of Professional and Occupational
Affairs; and further providing for civil penalties and license
suspension," is amended by adding a subsection to read:
Section 3. Hearing examiners.

(e) Reporting of offenses.--Each holder of a license,
registration, certificate or permit from a licensing board or
commission shall report to the issuing licensing board or
commission, in writing, within 30 days, if the individual has
been convicted, found guilty or pleaded nolo contendere, or
received probation without verdict or received accelerated
rehabilitative disposition as to any felony or misdemeanor or
any drug violation. A criminal matter that has been expunged by
order of a court is not required to be reported.
Section 2. This act shall take effect in 60 days.
