AN ACT
Amending the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30, No.14), entitled "An
act relating to the public school system, including certain
provisions applicable as well to private and parochial
schools; amending, revising, consolidating and changing the
laws relating thereto," further providing for Keystone Exams.
The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
hereby enacts as follows:
Section 1. Section 121 of the act of March 10, 1949 (P.L.30,
No.14), known as the Public School Code of 1949, added June 30,
2012 (P.L.684, No.82), is amended to read:
Section 121. Keystone Exams.--[Subject to annual
appropriation, not later than the 2020-2021 school year, the]
(a) The Department of Education shall develop and implement
Keystone Exams in [the following subjects:] algebra I,
literature[, biology, English composition, algebra II, geometry,
United States history, chemistry, civics and government and
world history.] and biology, as required by the No Child Left
Behind Act of 2001 (Public Law 107-110, 115 Stat. 1425) or any
successor statute. The State Board of Education shall promulgate
